EQUIPMENT FOR EXTRUSION-BASED OILSEED PROCESSING PLANTS

A RELIABLE PARTNER WITH THE ADEQUATE TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FATS AND OILS INDUSTRY

METALPRO LLC handles turnkey projects that include the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and after-sales services.

Small-scale oilseed processing plants based on extrusion and pressing are ideal for small and mid-size producers seeking to add value to their production chain.

Fully automated plant: processes, monitoring and production control.

    Automation optimizes production processes and:

    • Reduces operational and maintenance costs

    • Provides maximum energy efficiency

    • Gives accurate information to assess stops and productivity issues

    • Ensures product quality and reduces rework

    Innovative Extract/Extruder

We are pioneering an innovative solution for high-fat oilseed
processing (peanut, sunflower, rapeseed, chia, and cotton) using a piece of original equipment, the extract/ extruder.
This equipment/process conditions the seed to optimize mechanical oil pressing, attaining a content
of residual fat different from that resulting from traditional processes of similar characteristics.
The fed raw material is transformed inside an extract/extruder that yields a material with less fat and moisture but at high temperature, a perfect material to feed the press.

TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR CLARIFYING SOY OIL

We have developed a simple, agile and efficient process so that the crude oil produced by the soybean extrusion-pressing process can be marketed in optimal conditions, without prejudice to suffering penalties for concepts outside of receipt specifications, either for phosphorus as by sediments.

    Process description
    • The oil from the Borrero decanter is thermally conditioned up to the corresponding temperature.

    • Then an injection of water is carried out for the hydration of phospholipids and solids in suspension, proportional to the flow of oil and the concentration of the latter.

    • It is mixed in a static mixer placed in the fluid line, and then goes to the maturation tank, within which the hydration of the compounds occurs for a certain time depending on the oil flow.

    • At the exit of this ripener, the centrifugal separation of the hydrated compounds is carried out, obtaining the oil on the one hand and the lees on the other. Obtaining in this way a crude soybean oil with the values of phosphorus and sediments in such a way that they comply with the previously mentioned chamber conditions.
